Ingredients
1 sheet Puff pastry, thawed
4 oz Garlic and herb spreadable cheese like Boursin, or Alouette
2-4T Heavy cream
2T Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 bunch Asparagus, trimmed, and cleaned
Olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1ea Egg, beaten with a splash of milk or cream to make an egg wash
Process
Preheat the oven to 400F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
Roll out the puff pastry so that it is about an inch bigger on all sides
Pierce the surface with a fork leaving a 1 inch border
Place on the prepared baking sheet and set aside
Add the spreadable cheese to a bowl and mix with a couple of tablespoons of cream
Add the Parmesan and spread it on the prepared puff pastry, leaving the border empty
Lay your asparagus over the top
Drizzle with some oil
Add salt and pepper
Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until deeply golden brown
Cool on a wire rack and serve
