This meal is expensive, but a GREAT celebration dinner

Equipment and Tools
We use a 20qt stainless canning pot. For 2 lobsters you will need to fill it about half way. We have done up to 4 lobsters in this pot. We also have a 30qt pot than can handle up to 8 lobsters.

We have a Camp Chef 60,000Btu 2 burner camp stove that has 30,000Btu for each burner. Since you can only use one burner for the pot, this is barely enough power to get the job done, but it will work. We also have a 60,000Btu turkey fryer that handles the job easily

Nut crackers with picks for each guest
These should be less than $10

Kitchen shears. 1 pair for each guest

Ingredients
1 to 1-1/2lb live lobster for each person
If you can’t get 1 to 1-1/2 lb lobsters buy 1-1/2 lbs. per person.
3-2.5lb lobsters will serve 2 men and 3 women easily.
½ cup Salt Per 2 gallons of water
Whole black peppercorns
Onion slices
Bay leaf
Celery tops
Parsley sprig
Lemon slices
Lime slices
Process
Put all of the ingredients into a large pot with enough water to cover all of the lobsters.
Don’t put the lobsters into the pot yet
Bring water to rolling boil.
Plunge lobsters in head first
Boil 12 minutes after pot comes back to a rolling boil
Even if the lobsters are big, 12 minutes is plenty of time
Serve with melted butter, and probably a little lemon water to keep your hands clean
