Pickled Shrimp

Pickled Shrimp

This is definitely a make-ahead

recipe since you need at least 24hrs

to pickle the shrimp

Boil

1lb      Large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1T      Old Bay seasoning

Combine

1C      Thinly sliced white onion

½        Large lemon thinly sliced

3         Fresh bay leaves

1/4C   Each

                     Olive oil

                     Distilled white vinegar or rice vinegar

1/2t     Kosher salt

1/4t     Each

                     Celery seed

                     Mustard seed

                     Tabasco

                     Coarsely ground black pepper

                     Sugar

Cover and chill for at least 24hrs or up to 48hrs stirring occasionally

Serve at room temperature
