Pancakes and Waffles

Ingredients     

1/2C              Flour

1-1/3t            Baking powder

1/8t               Salt

2t                  Sugar

2ea               Eggs   (Separated for waffles. Unseparated for pancakes)

1/2C              Milk

2T                 Butter

1/2t               Vanilla

Process for pancakes Makes about 8 pancakes

In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar

Add the milk and eggs to the flour mixture

Stir until smooth

Add the oil and vanilla

Mix well

Heat a pan lightly oiled over medium heat.

Add about 1/4C -1/3 of batter to the pan

When the bottom of the pancake begins to turn brown flip to the other side

Cook until both sides are golden brown

Process for waffles Makes about 6 waffles

In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar

In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until stiff

Add the milk and egg yolks to the flour mixture

Stir until smooth

Add the oil and vanilla

Mix well

Fold the egg whites into the batter

Heat a pan lightly oiled over medium heat.

Add about 2/3C of batter to the waffle baker

Cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown
