
Celeste and I have been cooking together for 57 years. Both of my grandmothers, my own mother, and Celeste’s mother were all great cooks, and since we got most of our recipes and ideas about cooking from them, most of our recipes are from scratch.
We have tried to give credit to the people that we got our recipes from, but I began cataloging these recipes on my computer about 45 years ago and we have forgotten where many of these recipes originated (mostly from holiday meals, dinner parties, tv shows, and cookbooks, mountains of cookbooks)
I have attempted to use only photographs that I took, but inevitably some others have crept in from unknown places.
We have made all of the recipes shown, and only kept the ones that we liked.
When we use butter as an ingredient, we mean unsalted butter, and when we say cream, we mean heavy cream.
