Jan Schoen’s Salad

Ingredients

½ Head         Iceberg lettuce

½ Head         Romaine lettuce

1/4C              Celery

1/4C              Onion

1 can             Mandarin oranges (drained)

1/4C              Sliced almonds

1T + 1t                     Sugar

1/2t               Salt

2T                 Sugar

2T                 Vinegar

1/4C              Salad oil

Dash             Tabasco

1T                 Parsley

Directions

Put 1/4C of almonds and 1T + 1t sugar into a pan and melt over low heat until toasted

Mix lettuces, celery, and onion

At the last minute add oranges, almonds, and dressing
