Cedar Plank Steelhead Trout in the Oven

The picture above is from Walmart, and is the way we buy it. The recent package was 2.2lbs, and $10.56 per lb

Ingredients

3/4lb Steelhead Trout cut into 6oz fillets

Olive oil

Salt and Pepper

12inches Untreated cedar fencing 5-1/2in wide

3sprigs Rosemary

Instructions

Immerse a cedar plank(I use untreated cedar fencing cut into about 12in pieces) in water for 60 minutes (30 minutes if you are behind)

Coat salmon with olive oil

Salt and Pepper

Put the Steelhead fillets skin side down on plank, on top of the rosemary

Bake in a 350F oven for 15 – 30 minutes, checking at 15 minutes
