Casey Sugar Cookies

This recipe is another 100 year old Casey family recipe. It is very messy to make. The dough sticks to everything, but the cookies are soft and unique

Ingredients

2C                 Sugar

1C                 Crisco

2                    Eggs

1C                 Sour milk

1t                   Nutmeg

1t                   Soda

1t                   Vanilla

1t                   Salt

4C                 Flour

Process

Cream the sugar, Crisco, and eggs

Sift the dry ingredients

Add alternately with sour milk

Will make soft dough

Flour board and rolling pin

Roll out about 1/2 inch thick or chill for 1hr by tablespoons and pat out to 1/2 in thick.

Cut and sprinkle with sugar

Bake at 350F for about 12 minutes
